What kind of stories and art do you celebrate?

DreamSwarm was established as a space to celebrate and enjoy film, art and stories which are in some way 'supernatural' yet can be difficult to define and do not necessarily fit within popular genre conventions (such as horror or sci-fi).

By this we means works which may involve:

Alternate history, fairytales, fantasy, folklore, folk horror, magic realism, mythology, psychogeography, psychology, time travel, urban fantasy.

Our website and social media feeds are full of articles, blogs, podcasts and links to creators of these kind of stories.

Why set up DreamSwarm?

Since this mix of genres can be hard to define, there has so far not been a central hub online where audiences can come to seek out these kinds of works, and where creators can share them. DreamSwarm aims to provide that hub.

Andy Mark Simpson is a writer and filmmaker himself. He believes in the importance of connecting strongly with the audience and also wanted to strengthen the community by celebrating the work of other filmmakers, writers and artists who create in this mix of genres.
